What is a Christian?

Here's the answer:

A Christian is someone who professes belief in Jesus as his or her Savior.

A lot of people think that being a good person makes you a Christian. But this is not true. Going to church or doing good things do not make you a Christian according to the Bible. If your parents are Christians, that doesn’t mean you are automatically a Christian, either. Titus 3:5 says, "He saved us. It wasn’t because of the good things we had done. It was because of his mercy. He saved us by washing away our sins. We were born again. The Holy Spirit gave us new life."

The Bible teaches us that a Christian is someone who has been born again by God and put his or her faith in Jesus Christ. A Christian believes that Jesus died on the cross for sin and that He rose from the dead, providing salvation from sin.

A Christian is a child of God who has been given new life in Him.
