Did Jesus sin? Was He sinless?

Here's the answer:

It might be hard to imagine, but when Jesus was on Earth, He was sinless. He didn’t sin once, not even when He was young!

Because Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, every person born after them has what is called a "sin nature." That means that we naturally want to sin. But because Jesus is God, even when He was here on Earth, He was born without a sin nature. He was tempted, but He still didn’t sin. We can see this in Hebrews 4:15b: "We have a high priest [Jesus] who has been tempted in every way, just as we are. But he did not sin."

It was important for Jesus to have no sin, because He had come to earth to die for our sins. He couldn’t have done that if He was a sinner. He had to be perfect in order for God to accept Jesus’ sacrifice for us. So when Jesus died on the cross, He took care of our sin. Then He came back to life three days later so that one day, everyone who believes in Him can live with Him forever. Aren’t you glad Jesus was sinless so you can be forgiven of your own sins?
