How do I do God's will?

Here's the answer:

There are many ways to learn how to do God’s will. Here are three important things to consider:

First, when it comes to learning how to do God`s will, we need to start with the commands He has already given us in the Bible (such as giving thanks and obeying our parents). This is called God’s "revealed will." He expects us to know and obey His revealed will before we try to discover His will for other things. Psalm 119:16 says, "I take delight in your orders. I won`t fail to obey your word."

Second, we can ask God for wisdom. We can spend time studying the Bible and in prayer, asking the God to help us understand. That will help us make godly decisions, even decisions about things that aren’t specifically mentioned in the Bible.

Third, we can be willing to listen to godly advice from your pastor, parents, and other trusted adults.

If we really want to know and follow God`s will, we also need to realize that it`s not about us getting what we want. It`s about doing what God wants us to do. He is faithful and good, and His will is always what`s best for us (Romans 12:2)!

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways obey him. Then he will make your paths smooth and straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
