Who is God?

Here's the answer:

God is the "supreme being." That means God is the greatest, highest, most-powerful being in all the universe!

Since the Bible was written by God, let’s see what it has to say:

Second Samuel 7:22 describes God as, "LORD and King, how great you are! There isn’t anyone like you. There isn’t any God but you. We have heard about it with our own ears."

God is the creator of everything. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1).

Exodus 34:6-7 says, "As he passed in front of Moses, he called out. He said, 'I am the LORD, the LORD. I am a God who is tender and kind. I am gracious. I am slow to get angry. I am faithful and full of love. I continue to show my love to thousands of people. I forgive those who do evil. I forgive those who refuse to obey...'"

God forgives our sins because He loves us, cares for us, and wants for us to show our love in return. How does He love us?

First John 4:9-10 says, "How did God show his love for us? He sent his one and only Son into the world. He sent him so we could receive life through him. What is love? It is not that we loved God. It is that he loved us and sent his Son to give his life to pay for our sins."

The God of power who created the universe loves you! He sent Jesus into the world to die for you. You can know Jesus, who came to earth to show you the love of God. When you know Jesus, you learn more about God and who He is.
