Why does my friend have ADD/ADHD?
Here's the answer:
All illnesses are the result of the fall.
Your friend with ADD and ADHD has a condition where he or she has difficulty keeping their attention. They may also have hyperactivity and do things impulsively. It may be hard for them to sit still or keep their focus on one thing for very long.
Why do they struggle with this? All illnesses are a result of Adam and Eve’s sin against God by disobeying Him. Before the fall, there were no sicknesses or medical conditions. Your friend has ADD or ADHD because of sin being in the world, but it is not your friend’s fault they have the condition. ADD and ADHD is often genetic, meaning your friends genes were passed down from one of their parents.
You can help your friend by being kind to him or her. Include your friend in activities. Go on a walk together. Your friend might want to talk about their struggles with you. You can listen to them and comfort them if they are frustrated.
Pray together with your friend and for them. Those with ADD or ADHD can ask for God’s help with their feelings and impulses. Pray for your friend and ask God to help them in their daily struggles.
Bible Truth

"My dear brothers and sisters, pay attention to what I say. Everyone should be quick to listen. But they should be slow to speak. They should be slow to get angry" (James 1:19).
