What does the Bible say about fear?

Here's the answer:

God tells us to fear not (Isaiah 41:10).

With all the scary things happening in the world, it’s natural to be afraid sometimes. When you are fearful, know that God is always with you. God does not want us to fear because He promises to always be by our side. He is with us forever.

When you are feeling afraid, remember God’s love. The Bible tells us that perfect love from God pushes away fear (1 John 4:18). God knows we will be afraid at times. This is why He has many encouragements in the Bible to reminds us why we do not need to be afraid. No matter what scary things you may face, know that God is with you and you can be brave.

When we trust in God, we have no reason to be afraid. Why should we fear mankind when we know God is on our side (Psalm 56:11)? Since God is on our side, we can be brave. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
