What does it mean that God is the Creator?
Here's the answer:
It means God created everything. That’s why He is called God the Creator.
God is the Creator. This means that He created everything, including you and me. The beautiful sky, the beautiful plants, and the beautiful animals were all created by God. Whenever you notice something beautiful, remember that God created it. Everything in all creation has been created by God.
Just as God is a Creator, He gave us the ability to create things. Do you like to draw, paint, or make crafts? We have creativity because God created us in His image (Genesis 1:27). We only can be creative because God is creative Himself.
Since God created everything, everything is His (Exodus 19:5). This means that we are God’s own possession. He made us and He loves us. Just as we love the artwork we create, God loves the beautiful creation He has made. In fact, the Bible tells us we are God’s handiwork (Ephesians 2:10). God is the Creator and He is the only Creator.
Bible Truth
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth didn’t have any shape. And it was empty. There was darkness over the surface of the waves. At that time, the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters" (Genesis 1:1-2).
"Now obey me completely. Keep my covenant. If you do, then out of all the nations you will be my special treasure. The whole earth is mine" (Exodus 19:5).
"The God of Jacob is not like them. He gives his people everything they need. He made everything that exists. And that includes Israel. They are the people who belong to him. His name is the Lord Who Rules Over All" (Jeremiah 10:16).
