Why do some people believe in ghosts?
Here's the answer:
Some people believe that ghosts are the spirits of people who have died. The Bible says this is not true.
The Bible tells us that we should not believe in ghosts. It says, "People have to die once. After that, God will judge them" (Hebrews 9:27). Christians who die, go to heaven. People who aren’t children of God are taken to a place to wait for God’s judgment. The Bible says that spirits do not wander around in cemeteries or to haunt spooky old houses.
What about all the people who say they have seen a ghost? Some Bible teachers think that these "ghosts" are actually evil spirits. We don’t need to be scared by them though. God is greater! "[God] is more powerful than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
Bible Truth
"That comes as no surprise. Even Satan himself pretends to be an angel of light. So it doesn’t surprise us that Satan’s servants also pretend to be serving God. They will finally get exactly what they deserve" (2 Corinthians 11:14-15).
"A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so they may have life. I want them to have it in the fullest possible way" (John 10:10).
