What are the consequences of sin?

Here's the answer:

The worst consequence of sin is death apart from God.

Sin is the bad things you do. In fact, everyone in the world sins (Romans 3:23). There are consequences for your sin and the worst consequence is death. The Bible tells us sin will cause us to be eternally separated from God—both physically and spiritually (Isaiah 59:2; Romans 6:23).

Living in sin will cause you pain, sadness, and despair. A happy life does not come from a life of sin. If we continue to live in our sin, God will eventually give us over to our unhealthy ways (Romans 1:28). Instead of living in accordance with our sinful flesh, God wants us to live in obedience to the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26).

God forgave our sins when we trusted in Jesus. He doesn’t want us to live in sin any longer. Doing the right thing leads to happiness. Choosing sin leads to pain, destruction, and death.
