Why did God take my grandpa or grandma to heaven?

Here's the answer:

The death of a Christian takes a loved one to a much better place.

When we lose a loved one like a grandpa or grandma, it can be very sad for us. However, the person who has died is in a much better place. When the apostle Paul talked about dying, he wrote, "I long to leave this world and be with Christ. That is better by far" (Philippians 1:23). This is because he knew he would be with Jesus in heaven.

The Bible also teaches that Christians go to be with God once their time on earth is finished. Acts 13:36 says, "David carried out God’s purpose while he lived. Then he died. He was buried with his people..." When God’s plan for David was complete, he died to live with God.

It is difficult to lose those we love. The good news is that they are in a better place with Jesus. Even better, if we believe in Jesus, we will see them again! We can look forward to being together in heaven forever. We will have eternal life (John 3:16).
