I feel overwhelmed. What do I do?

Here's the answer:

When you are feeling overwhelmed, God wants you to come to Him in prayer.

Feeling overwhelmed is something most of us have felt at some point in our lives. Maybe you were feeling overwhelmed before a big test, moving to a new house, or going to a new school. All of these things can make you feel overwhelmed. If you are feeling overwhelmed today, know that Jesus understands how you are feeling. There were many times during Jesus’ earthly ministry that He felt overwhelmed.

When you feel overwhelmed, follow Jesus’ example. When Jesus felt this way, He would go to a quiet place where He would spend time with the Father in prayer (Mark 1:35). Other times, Jesus would have His disciples come with Him to get some rest and solitude (Mark 6:31). Despite Jesus being overwhelmed at times, He still trusted in the Father. This is shown to us in the way that Jesus fell asleep on the boat during a storm (Matthew 8:23-24).

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was deeply overwhelmed. He was so overwhelmed that His sweat was dropping like blood (Luke 22:44). Jesus knows what you are going through and He can help with your feelings of being overwhelmed. Go to Him in prayer and talk with Him about what is troubling you. He is the God of all peace and He will bring you comfort (1 Corinthians 14:33).

"May the God who gives peace be with you all. Amen" (Romans 15:33).
