Is God evil?

No, God is not evil. God is 100% good.

There is not an ounce of evil in God. God did not create evil and He did not create sin. Every single part of God is 100% good and 100% light. There is no darkness in Him (1 John 1:5).

Bad things happen in the world because of the fallen world. People do bad things because every person has free will. Just because God allows something to happen doesn’t mean He approves of it. He does allow bad things to happen, but that doesn’t make Him evil. It makes Him holy and righteous.

If God was evil, He would not have sent His Son to die for sin, the bad things we do. God is 100% goodness and 100% love. God loves every person unconditionally. This means He will never stop loving you. God is the exact opposite of evil.
