Is it ok to drink caffeine?
Here's the answer:
Drinking caffeine in moderation is not a sin, but addiction to caffeine is a sin.
Caffeine is in many beverages we drink. Sodas, energy drinks, and coffee contain caffeine. While drinking caffeine is not a sin, addiction to caffeine is a sin. Being addicted to anything means you have given that item mastery in your life. Being addicted to anything is a sin. The Bible is clear that God is our only Master—not caffeine or anything else.
If you think you may be addicted to caffeine, talk to your parents or another adult you trust. You can also ask God to help you.
"Some of you say, 'I have the right to do anything.' But not everything is helpful. Again some of you say, 'I have the right to do anything.' But I will not be controlled by anything" (1 Corinthians 6:12).
"Sin will no longer control you like a master. That’s because the law does not rule you. God’s grace has set you free" (Romans 6:14).
