What will we look like in heaven?
Here's the answer:
We don’t know exactly what we’ll look like in heaven!
When those who have believed in Jesus go to be with Him for eternity, they won’t look exactly the same as they do now. God will give each believer a perfect body—one that will never get sick or hurt. We won’t need to cry anymore, because there won’t be anything to cry about! Any scars, birthmarks, or deformities will probably be gone too, because our bodies will be spotless and perfect. Our new bodies will never get old and die, and our old sin natures will be gone.
One reason we don’t know exactly what our bodies will look like in eternity is because we don’t know exactly what eternity will be like! We know we will be with God forever, and we know God will restore the earth to the perfection He created it to have. But we don’t know yet what we will be doing for eternity. God made the bodies we have now for the purpose of living on earth—maybe He will have other purposes for us when we have our new bodies!
One thing we do know—eternity will be glorious, and our heavenly bodies will be glorious too!
