Why do some people believe that humans came from monkeys?

Here's the answer:

Some people don't want to believe that God created us.

Lots of people think humans came from ocean creatures that changed into creatures that walked on the land. People believe that over time those land creatures changed into apelike creatures that eventually changed into humans. This idea is called evolution. People often believe in evolution because they don't want to believe God exists and created everything.

Some scientists say fossils prove that evolution happens, but Christian scientists see that fossils can fit with what the Bible says. The Bible says God created the different animals separately from people. People were created in God's own image, so we can think, love, and know God. Animals can't even choose right from wrong.

Because only God was there at creation, we must trust what His Word the Bible says, not the scientists who believe in evolution. We didn't evolve from monkeys but were created by a loving God.

Bible Truth

"Then the LORD God formed a man. He made him out of the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into him. And the man became a living person" (Genesis 2:7).

"Then God said, 'Let us make man in our likeness. Let them rule over the fish in the waters and the birds of the air. Let them rule over the livestock and over the whole earth. Let them rule over all of the creatures that move along the ground.' So God created man in his own likeness. He created him in the likeness of God. He created them as male and female" (Genesis 1:26–27).
