Will we sleep in heaven?
Here's the answer:
We don’t know for sure if we will sleep in heaven!
Our moms are always telling us to get to sleep or get enough rest. But we won’t need to sleep in heaven! Philippians 3:21 tells us we are going to have special, strong bodies in heaven. We don’t know if we’ll sleep just for fun in heaven, but we do know we’ll never get tired.
So what are we going to be doing in heaven? In Luke 23:43 Jesus said to the thief who was being crucified with Him, "Today you will be with me in paradise." Paradise is a special word in the Greek language that means "park." We’ll get to play in God’s park. There will be peace in heaven. Nobody is going to hurt our feelings or do bad things.
If our friends and family follow Jesus, they will also be in heaven. They will know us and we will know them. Colossians 2:3 says that God has many hidden "treasures" in heaven. We will get to learn all kinds of fun and exciting things. We don’t know if we’ll ever feel hungry in heaven, but we are going to have a big party called the wedding feast of the Lamb. All of the people who love Jesus are going to eat together with Him.
