Is there really a street of gold in heaven?
Here's the answer:
The Bible says there will be a street of gold in heaven.
Revelation 21:21 says, “The 12 gates were made from 12 pearls. Each gate was made out of a single pearl. The main street of the city was made out of gold. It was gold as pure as glass that people can see through clearly.” The street of gold will be in the New Jerusalem.
Having a street of gold in heaven sounds quite fascinating. Yet, it can be confusing as to why there would be a street of gold. The gold of the street is to symbolize purity and God’s glory. In the New Jerusalem, everything will be made perfect. Nothing bad will happen ever again (Revelation 21:4). The street of gold can remind us of the glory of God.
Nothing in heaven will be as awesome as being with God, where we will live forever with Him in perfect fellowship. It will be a great and glorious day when we are with God in heaven. We will really walk on a street of gold!
