What are morals?
Here's the answer:
Morals are the standard for living right. Morals help us make good choices.
The Bible tells us how to make good choices—how to do good instead of bad. For example, we learn in the Bible that stealing is a sin. Just because we want something a lot doesn’t mean we can steal it. Instead, we are told to work hard and earn money so we can buy that item.
Not everyone follows the morals in the Bible. Some may think other choices are better or more fair. They choose to follow another set of morals other than the Bible. This dishonors God.
God’s morals are the best and He wants everyone to follow them. They give us godly instruction on how to think, talk, and do what is right.
Bible Truth
"God has breathed life into all Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right" (2 Timothy 3:16).
"So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock. The rain comes down. The water rises. The winds blow and beat against that house. But it does not fall. It is built on the rock" (Matthew 7:24-25).
