What is a Christian worldview?
Here's the answer:
Worldview is a big word for how you see the world. A Christian worldview is understanding the world in a Christian way.
Everyone has a worldview. In fact, your worldview is the basis of all of your decisions and choices. A worldview answers the questions of where did we come from and why are we here, what is wrong with the world, and how can we fix it.
A Christian worldview is based on the truth of the Bible. Remember those questions above? A Christian worldview answers these questions according to the truth of the Bible. Let’s take a look at how a Christian worldview answers these questions!
1. Where did we come from? (and why are we here?)
The Bible says we are created by God (Genesis 1:27). Our purpose is to serve, obey, and worship Him.
2. What is wrong with the world?
Sin. Due to our sin, the entire world was affected. This is why there is sickness, natural disasters, and death.
3. How can we fix it?
God fixed the problem when He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins (John 3:16). By placing faith in Jesus, we can have a right relationship with God. In the future, God will fix the problem with the world by creating a New Heaven and a New Earth (Isaiah 65:17).
Our Christian worldview affects how we approach each day. As Christians, we know God is in control. We know God loves us. We know that one day we will be with Him. A Christian worldview is the only worldview that honors God.
