What is a sinner?
Here's the answer:
A sinner is someone who commits sin. Sin is the bad things we do.
Every person is a sinner (Romans 3:23). We are all born into sin and we all freely commit sin. Sin is the bad things we do. Lying, stealing, and disobeying are all sins. Jesus is the only person who has never sinned (1 Peter 2:22).
Every sinner is separated from God because of their sin. It is only by believing in Jesus that a person can be made into a right relationship with God. God cannot coexist with sin. He is holy, perfect, and righteous. This is why He sent His Son to die for us.
Despite our sins, God still loves us. The Bible tells us that even though we were sinners, Jesus died for us (Romans 5:8). All people are sinners. All people fall short of God’s glory. It is only by believing in Jesus that a person can be forgiven of their sins. No matter what bad things you have done, God can forgive you. He loves us even though we are sinners.
Bible Truth
"Jesus replied, 'What I’m about to tell you is true. Everyone who sins is a slave of sin'" (John 8:34).
"Suppose we claim we are without sin. Then we are fooling ourselves. The truth is not in us" (1 John 1:8).
"But here is how God has shown his love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
