What is Islam?
Here's the answer:
Islam is religion that worships Allah. People who follow Islam are called Muslims.
Islam teaches five pillars, which are teachings of obedience. The five pillars of Islam are the testimony of faith, prayer, giving, fasting, and pilgrimage. Muslims believe they have to perform these pillars in order to go to paradise. However, entrance into paradise is not certain. If Allah denies entrance to paradise, the person cannot enter paradise.
Islam believes Allah spoke down to Muhammad through Gabriel. The information spoken down is written in the Quran, which is the holy book of Islam. They say that Muhammad is Allah’s messenger to the world.
Islam is not consistent with what is taught in the Bible. Believing in Allah or completing the five pillars of Islam won’t save a person. Only by believing in Jesus can a person go to heaven (John 3:16). If you know a Muslim, share what you know about Jesus with them. Tell them how Jesus loves them and wants a relationship with them.
Bible Truth
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6).
"God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world. He sent his Son to save the world through him" (John 3:16-17).
"God’s grace has saved you because of your faith in Christ. Your salvation doesn’t come from anything you do. It is God’s gift. It is not based on anything you have done. No one can brag about earning it" (Ephesians 2:8-9).
