What is Scientology?

Here's the answer:

Scientology is a false belief system that goes against the Bible.

Scientology was started in 1953 by science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard. He became extremely rich by making up Scientology. Those who follow Scientology believe mankind is immortal and mankind is called “Thetans.” According to Scientology, salvation is done through “auditing,” and “engrams.” This is where memories of the past and unconsciousness that create energy blockage are removed. This can be quite confusing, can’t it? Many parts of Scientology can be hard to explain and to understand.

Scientology is a made up belief system that is not compatible with Christianity. While our souls are immortal, our bodies are not. We are destined to die and then to face judgment (Hebrews 9:27). The only way to salvation is by believing in Jesus. Paying money for the practice of auditing will not save a person. Salvation is the free gift of God to the world. If you know a Scientologist, talk with them about Jesus. Share the Gospel with them and help them know the truth of the Bible.
