How old was Noah when he died?

Here's the answer:

Noah lived 950 years.

Noah lived a very long time. The Bible tells us he lived 950 years (Genesis 9:28-29). That is a lot longer than humans live now. The average person lives to their 80s. Being in your 80s and being 950 years old is a big difference!

People live shorter life spans now because of biological change and the environment. The people who lived closer to the time of Adam, such as Noah, lived longer than we do today. Due to the fall of man, sin entered the world and many bad things came with it. Sickness, illness, and death came with the fall of man. Our bodies aren’t the same as they were when Noah was alive. This results in us living shorter lives.

Even though we don’t live as long as Noah did, we still have a God who loves us. It is out of God’s mercy we don’t have to live so long and we will be reunited sooner with our Savior.

Bible Truth

"Noah lived a total of 950 years. And then he died" (Genesis 9:29).

"You have been angry with us all of our days. We groan as we come to the end of our lives. We live to be about 70. Or we may live to be 80, if we stay healthy. But even our best days are filled with trouble and sorrow. The years quickly pass, and we are gone" (Psalm 90:9-10).
