What is the path to heaven?

Here's the answer:

Jesus is the path to eternal life in heaven.

Every person is a sinner. We do, say, and think wrong things that displease God and break His commands in the Bible. Because of our sin, we deserve to die and go to hell away from God eternally. But because God loved the world, He sent His only Son, Jesus, to make a way for believers to live eternally (forever) in heaven.

Although Jesus has always been alive as God the Son, He was born on earth as the perfect God-Man. He lived without sin, did miracles, and taught the truth. Jesus took the punishment sinners deserve—death—by dying on the cross. Then Jesus came back to life, showing He has won the victory over sin and death!

Jesus is the only path to heaven. "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6).

If you want to follow Jesus, the one way to heaven, you can pray a prayer like the one below. Praying can’t give you eternal life—only God can do that. God can save you by giving you faith in Jesus. The prayer is a way to show God that you’re turning in faith to Jesus.

"Dear God, I'm sorry for going my own way and sinning against You. I deserve to die for my sins and be separated forever from You. But I believe Your perfect Son, Jesus, took the punishment for sin by dying on the cross. Then He rose from the dead, showing that He won the victory over sin and death. I now turn from my sin and trust Jesus as my Savior from sin. I will follow the Lord Jesus now!"
