What does the Bible say about change?

Here's the answer:

Change can be a good thing and a bad thing.

The Bible tells us that God never changes (Malachi 3:6). God is perfect, holy, and amazing just as He is. He will never change because He doesn’t need to. He is already perfect as He is and His loving nature will never change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The love He has for us will never waver or decrease.

God doesn’t change, but we do. We get older, our bodies change, our brains change, and our values can change. Each of these things can either be a good change or a bad change. As Christians, we need to try to ensure any change we are experiencing is a good change. From the moment we place faith in Jesus, we made a positive change in our life. We are born again (John 3:3) and we can begin to live for God.

Bad changes can also happen in our lives and they are sometimes out of control. When bad things happen, we need to try to see the good and still praise God. For example, we might have to move to a new city, but we can still see God working through this change. God will work all things out for our good, even bad things (Romans 8:28).
