What does the Bible say about controlling my temper?
Here's the answer:

The Bible tells us it is good to control our temper.
Proverbs 29:11 tells us, “Foolish people let their anger run wild. But wise people keep themselves under control.” This Bible verse sums up how we should control our temper. People who are unwise will give in to their temper. If we want to obey God, we should keep our temper under control.
Anger can cause us to say a lot of things that we will regret later. It can also make us do things we will regret. If we give in to our temper, we could hurt others. Since we don’t want to do this, we need to keep our temper under control. Choosing to be calm, forgiving, and peaceful can help you manage your temper (Proverbs 15:1; 12:16).
The Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us the moment we believe in Jesus. He is able to help us control our temper. The Holy Spirit will help us to develop the fruits of the Spirit. These fruits are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Each of these fruits will help us to say no to anger and yes to peace.
