My dad is a single father. How can I help him?

Here's the answer:

You can help your single father by praying for him, respecting Him, and pointing Him to God.

It may be really hard for a dad to be a single father. As a kid, there’s a lot you can do to help your father. Help him with daily chores, show him respect, and obey Him in the Lord. Without a wife, your dad may feel lonely. It can be hard to understand what your dad feels, so it’s best to always be kind and respectful.

You can also help your dad by pointing Him to Jesus and reminding Him of Jesus’ love. Your father will appreciate being reminded that Jesus loves him. You can also tell your father how much you love him. He will feel encouraged when you remind him how great of a dad he is.

Praying for your dad can really help him too. Tell God about it in prayer and ask for Him to help your dad. Make sure you are active in your own Bible reading too and ask your dad if he wants to read the Bible with you sometimes. Reading the Bible together can help you bond and grow closer as a family.

"Fathers, don’t make your children angry. Instead, instruct them and teach them the ways of the Lord as you raise them" (Ephesians 6:4).
