Did Jesus know He would come back to life?

Here's the answer:

Yes! Jesus knew He would come back to life and He told His disciples about it.

The Bible tells us, "Jesus strongly warned them [the disciples] not to tell this to anyone. He said, 'The Son of Man must suffer many things. The elders will not accept him. The chief priests and the teachers of the law will not accept him either. He must be killed and on the third day rise from the dead'" (Luke 9:21-22).

This same message is also recorded in Matthew 16:21-22 and Mark 8:31. What makes it so exciting is that Jesus told His disciples this before He was crucified. Only God could have known.

Jesus’ disciples didn’t seem to understand what Jesus was saying. When Jesus came back to life, they were surprised to see Him!

Jesus knew from before the beginning of time that He would come to earth specifically to die for sin. Because He loves us so much, He wants us to be in heaven with Him forever. He also knew that He would come back to life to prove His power.

"They will make fun of him and spit on him. They will whip him and kill him. Three days later he will rise from the dead" (Mark 10:34).
