Do we receive mansions in heaven?

Here's the answer:

We will not receive literal mansions in heaven.

In some Bible versions, translators translate Jesus' words in John 14:2-3 to be “mansions.” When different versions translate Jesus’ words into “mansion,” “room,” or “house,” it is figurative. Figurative means the word is symbolic of something else. When Jesus uses the word “mansion,” He is referring to the fact that we will all live together in heaven.

When we think of mansions, we think of huge buildings where we live by ourselves. In heaven, we are all going to be all together. Nobody is going to be alone. We will all live together and we will all worship God together as the family of God. It will be a great day when we are all together with God in heaven.
