Does God cry?

Here's the answer:

God in heaven does not cry like we do, but the Bible says that Jesus cried while He was on earth.

The Bible explains:

"He [Jesus] approached Jerusalem. When he saw the city, he began to weep." The shortest verse in the entire Bible is John 11:35: "Jesus wept." Jesus cried because He was sad that His friend Lazarus died. Jesus also cried when He saw Jerusalem because He knew what was going to happen to the city (Luke 19:41).

Since Jesus is God, we can say that God has cried in the past.

In heaven, God doesn’t cry, but He can be sad. God feels sad when people are hurting, when people disobey Him, and when they reject Him.

So, how can you give God joy instead of sadness? We can bring joy to God by living for Him, learning more about Him, showing love to others, and telling them about Jesus.
