I’m a kid. How can I live the Christian life?
Here's the answer:
You can live a Christian life by loving God, obeying the Bible, and making good choices.
Even when you are young, you can still live a Christian life that honors God! In fact, God wants you to! Timothy was a young man in the Bible, but he still lived for God and you can too: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. Set an example for the believers in what you say and in how you live. Also set an example in how you love and in what you believe. Show the believers how to be pure” (1 Timothy 4:12).
Here are some ways you can live the Christian life:
• Love God. As you learn about Him, you will grow to love Him more. You can worship Him through singing, reading the Bible, and prayer.
• Obey your parents. They love you and want the best for you.
• Choose good friends. Bad friends will rub off on you. Choose good friends who urge you to become more like Jesus.
• Obey the Bible. Make sure to spend time praying, reading, learning, and reflecting on the Bible. The more time you spend with God, the better your life will reflect Jesus.
You may be young now, but one day, you will be an adult. Now is the best time to learn more about God and become more like Him.
"Walk with wise people and become wise. A companion of foolish people suffers harm" (Proverbs 13:20).
"Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ as if he were your clothing. Don’t think about how to satisfy sinful desires" (Romans 13:14).
"Do not love the world or anything in it. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. Here is what people who belong to this world do. They try to satisfy what their sinful desires want to do. They long for what their sinful eyes look at. They take pride in what they have and what they do. All of this comes from the world. None of it comes from the Father" (1 John 2:15-16).
