Does money make people bad? Is money bad?
Here's the answer:
Money isn’t bad and money doesn’t necessarily make people bad. However, the Bible says that the love of money is a sin.
Money is useful for many things like buying food, paying for clothes, and helping those in need. Money has many good uses, but the Bible gives us a warning about money. "Love for money causes all kinds of evil. Some people want to get rich. They have wandered away from the faith. They have wounded themselves with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10).
Money does not "cause all kinds of evil." Instead, it is the "love for money" that causes all kinds of evil. When we love money, we might lie, cheat, and steal to get more of it. When we love money, we might trust money more than we trust God.
When we have the right attitude about money, it can be used in good ways. God wants us to use money to help hurting people.
