What kind of video games should I play?

Stay away from video games that wouldn’t please God.
Video games are fun for pretty much everyone. It's great to play by yourself or with a friend.
But what kinds of video games are good to play? There are a lot of different types of video games available. There are adventure games, educational games, multiplayer games, strategy games, games that help you to be more coordinated with your hands and eyes, and more.
Some games are very violent and contain images you shouldn’t get into your head. Some have a lot of cussing or bad talk. And some even have adult themes that are not appropriate for a Christian. Before you choose a game, be sure to know that the content of the game is okay. Your parents can help with this. Generally, anything rated "E for Everyone" is an okay game to play as long as your parents agree.
There’s a very important question to keep in mind when choosing a game: Would you want Jesus there with you while playing the video game? If you wouldn't feel good about that, then it's probably not a good game to play. It’s also important to follow your parents’ instructions about which games to play.
Always stay close to Jesus so you know how to make good decisions. Talk to Him and read your Bible every day too.
