What is leadership?

Here's the answer:

Leadership is the ability to influence and guide other people to achieve a goal.

The greatest leader is Jesus. He is our Good Shepherd, who is always protecting, guiding, and defending us (Psalm 23). Jesus declares Himself to be our Shepherd and we are His sheep (John 10:11-16). Jesus takes care of us and leads us in the path we should go.

If you want to be a leader, you need to study and then follow the Lord’s teachings. You can lead others to Him and help them know about the amazing grace of the gospel.

As followers of Jesus, we need to allow others to follow us as we are following the example of Jesus (1 Corinthians 11:1). Maybe you have the goal of growing up to be a pastor. As a leader, you will guard the sheep under your care. The sheep will be the members of the church. Whether you grow up to be a pastor or not, Jesus wants you to follow His example, feed His sheep, and take care of them (John 21:17).

Bible Truth

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. The hired man is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when the hired man sees the wolf coming, he leaves the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired man. He does not care about the sheep" (John 10:11-13).

"I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep, and my sheep know me" (John 10:14).

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you pretending to be sheep. But on the inside they are hungry wolves" (Matthew 7:15).
