Who should I pray for?
Here's the answer:
We can pray for anyone and everyone!
The Bible has a lot to say about prayer. In fact, prayer is so important that we simply can’t do without it, because is the way we speak with God. When we pray, God wants us to pray about everything and for everyone.
• We should pray for our Christian brothers and sisters: "At all times, pray by the power of the Spirit. Pray all kinds of prayers. Be watchful, so that you can pray. Always keep on praying for all of God’s people" (Ephesians 6:18).
• We should pray for our enemies: "But here is what I tell you. Love your enemies. Pray for those who hurt you" (Matthew 5:44).
• We should pray for our leaders, teachers, family, and friends: "First, I want all of you to pray for everyone. Ask God to bless them. Give thanks for them" (1 Timothy 2:1).
• We can even pray for ourselves: "Don’t worry about anything. Instead, tell God about everything. Ask and pray. Give thanks to him" (Philippians 4:6).
Remember, God is never too busy to hear your prayers. So pray always.
