Why do we need a Savior?
Here's the answer:
We need a Savior because we have all sinned against God.
The Bible is clear that we are all sinners (Romans 3:23). We have all done bad things. We cannot save ourselves and we cannot "earn" our way into Heaven. Even our best "good deeds" are only seen as dirty rags (Isaiah 64:6).
God requires absolute perfection. God is holy. This means that He can’t stand sin. Our sin makes God unhappy. As sinners, we cannot be absolutely perfect and free of sin. This is why we need a Savior.
Jesus Christ is indeed our perfect Savior! Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. This means He is perfect, free from sin. By accepting Jesus as your Savior, you will receive forgiveness for your sins and eternal life with God forever. You can accept Jesus as your Savior by believing that He died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
